SALES DESIGN CONSULTANTS

West Yorkshire Windows are the leading installer of Orangeries, Conservatories, Garden Rooms, Glazed Extensions, Living Spaces and Windows and Doors throughout Yorkshire. Due to our continued success, we are expanding our Sales Operation and are looking for Sales Design Consultants who can flourish within a unique direct sales environment. Working out of our modern Yorkshire Based Showrooms, you will be working on a private appointment basis attending customers’ homes and utilising the latest online presentation tools.

Our first-class marketing strategy and exemplary reputation ensures our Sales Design Consultants benefit from a high volume of expertly qualified appointments.

As a Window & Door Sales Consultant, you will be highly driven, determined to succeed, highly flexible and deliver true professionalism to the Customer, the Company, and the industry alike. You must have a proven track record of hitting or exceeding sales targets and be experienced, particularly in sales of home improvement products, but by far the most important qualifications are enthusiasm and determination to work hard.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide on-the-ground support for the sales team, including preparing quotations, samples, and marketing materials.

STORES PERSON

Stores Person

West Yorkshire Windows is an industry renowned installer of high-quality windows, doors and conservatory products across Yorkshire. They aim to be the most customer focused window and conservatory installation company in Yorkshire.

Following unprecedented growth, we are recruiting a STORES PERSON, your prime role will be to undertake the management of the stores, management of deliveries and dispatch and maintenance of the dispatch area. You will be highly motivated, with a “can-do” approach, enthusiastic and committed.

You will know what it takes to achieve targets – and you will have the motivation to get results.  This correct person in this role will have the ability to advance within the company.   

Hours of work are Monday to Friday between 7am and 4pm dependent on the needs of the business.

Role Responsibilities

Stores Management

  • To be responsible for the maintenance of the stores department, completing the required paperwork, ordering of stock, and putting stock away in the right location bays.

  • To ensure that all stock items are issued in full and on time.
  • To work with Installation Managers and administrators to assist with resolving stock issues as and when required.
  • To develop and maintain excellent working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including staff, customers, suppliers, and dealers.
  • To work with other employees to support the resolving of any issues and suggest improvements to the processes in stores or in other areas of the business as required.

Receipt and Dispatch of Products

  • To ensure the receipt of all goods are correctly recorded and counted and inform the accounts and installations department of any shortfalls.
  • To ensure product arrives on time, in good condition and is fit for dispatch.
  • To liaise with the Installation Managers to ensure all product has arrived in a timely manner and is ready for dispatch.  Any shortfalls in products, should be reported immediately to the Installations team, so it can be replaced as soon as possible.
  • To report any non-conformances and damages to the Installations Manager.
  • To ensure the stores department is clean and tidy and products are clearly marked and stored in the right location.
  • To ensure products are handled carefully and correctly by fitting teams with the utmost of care to prevent damages.
  • To ensure all products are signed for by fitting teams to ensure full accountability of products.
  • Support the Customer Service Team in ordering, receipt, and dispatch of products.

Maintenance of the Dispatch Area

  • To maintain a clean and tidy dispatch area and ensure it is always well organised.
  • To undertake the daily machine checks on the chop saw, table saw and the forklift truck.  All paperwork should be completed correctly and accurately for HSE and audit purposes.
  • To ensure you comply with all safety procedures and maintain a safe operating environment and recommend to the head of Installations any safety concerns.
  • To ensure that all safety procedures are complied with and adhere to the standard operating procedures for the stores, working with your Line Manager to develop and implement SOP and Risk Assessments.
  • To be responsible for keeping your work area clean, tidy, and free from all slip and trip hazards.

Quality

  • To maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending training opportunities. 
  • To maintain a safe and clean work environment ensuring you fully adhere to the use of all control points, equipment, and resources, maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.

You will join a small, busy, and friendly team, your main responsibilities will be Sales ledger, Purchase Ledger, Payroll and to support other areas of tasks within the Finance Team.

Role Responsibilities

  • To prepare monthly bank reconciliations.
  • To assist with some monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • To prepare monthly payroll for sign off by the Head of Finance.

Working under the direction of the Head of Sales and supported by the Sales Manager at our Doncaster Showroom, you will represent the company by being the first point of contact to customers, both on the telephone and face to face in our showroom and offering the highest level of customer service.

The role will see you working as part of the sales team supporting a variety of functions to help the team to sell and close deals and contribute to the service and sales targets.

You will also provide a range of administration and facility support across the business where required.

Main Duties:

  • Representing the business with a positive attitude and appearance.
  • Welcoming visitors to the showroom in person and on the telephone.
  • Daily checking the showroom to ensure it is tidy and presentable.
  • Monitor visitors’ access and maintain a security awareness.
  • Answering phone calls in a timely and polite manner, screening calls, referring enquiries, and taking and relaying messages where necessary.

  • Inputting customer enquiries from email to our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system and calling the customer to convert to a Sales Appointment.
  • Sending out text reminders of appointments daily to customers and inputting data of sales enquiries from the previous evening.
  • Emailing sales quotations out to customers.
  • Call back customers on hold awaiting installation dates or where deposits are due.
  • Updating the CRM data base with contact details for our customers.
  • Ensuring all information required for contracts is provided by the Sales Representatives then inputting and doc-uploading details onto our CRM system.
  • Logging all contract variations and ensuring the finances are correct on the database.
  • Making follow up calls to customers to enquire about their customer satisfaction with regards our service and products ensuring customer feedback calls are up to date.
  • Spending time in the showroom with Sales Representatives keeping up to date with current products.
  • Providing a clerical support to the sales team and co-ordinating activities
  • Answering calls from customers and sales representatives dealing with queries and problems as they arise.
  • Any other reasonable duties.

WAREHOUSE OPERATIVE

We are looking for a passionate, driven, and experienced Warehouse Operative. You will ensure that all vehicles are loaded and prepared for the following days deliveries. You will have a positive outlook with a strong focus on doing the right thing for the customer, creating win-wins and display energy and tenacity.

You will know what it takes to achieve targets – and you will have the motivation to get results.

Role Responsibilities

  • To prepare loads in the warehouse or directly onto vehicles ready for next day delivery;
  • To demonstrate good attention to detail when picking products ensuring the correct products are picked and delivery notes are checked and completed in full;
  • To ensure all vehicles are loaded in a safe, correct and acceptable manner ensuring all deliveries arrive in a manner which meets our customers’ expectations;
  • To support team leaders and supervisors to assist with resolving production issues as and when required;
  • To ensure all the correct manual handling procedures and techniques are followed.

Person Attributes

  • Previous Warehouse experience is essential;
  • Previous experience in the Window industry would be an advantage;
  • A full driving license is essential;
  • Exceptional attention to detail;
  • A strong team player with a “can do” attitude and a proactive approach to work;
  • The ability to demonstrate effective time management with a flexible approach to working hours;
  • A proactive approach to work with the ability to prioritise and manage own workload;
