With the weather slowly improving and an increased amount of sunshine being present up and down the country, the time of the year has arrived when we tend to do those odd jobs we have been putting off for the last few months. One such chore that none of us looking forward to is having to climb up the ladders and get painting our wooden window frames which have started to flake and rot after the winter.

What many people realise is that there is an alternative type of window which when installed can mean that you can throw away that paintbrush for good. uPVC windows in Sheffield are not liable to warping, gaps, rotting, flaking or any other such ailments and can be cleaned simply with a bucket of water and a clean cloth. With a good wipe down you will find that no matter how dirty the windows have got, once cleaned they will look as good as when you first purchased them, something we can all be thankful for.

You will find that most homes have double glazing in Sheffield as they seek to make their home look more appealing, as well as reduce the amount of maintenance they have to dedicate towards them. They bring so much more than that as they can help increase your energy efficiency within the home, reduce your heating bills, increase the value of your home, make your home more secure and generally make your home more attractive.

No matter how bad the weather gets you will find the windows to be robust and equipped to withstand any type of conditions. The likelihood of them being damaged is also minimal, compared to wooden windows which can easily be dented. Conservatories in Sheffield are also made of uPVC and do not require painting of any sort.

Have you recently turned away the local double glazing company from your doorstep considering it to be an unwanted expense? If so, then you need to think again as the benefits of installing double glazing, far outweigh the negatives as detailed below:

Increased security

Double glazed windows are installed with the very best locking mechanisms making it that extra bit difficult for burglars to break in through them. Because they are double paned it also makes it harder to remove or smash the glass, whereas a single paned window hit by a strong object tends to break easier.

Reduce heating bills

If you want windows with great insulation properties then go double glazed. They are able to transmit the suns natural light into a room, therefore bringing warmth into the home. On the other hand, during the winter you may not be required to keep the heating on too long as double glazed windows will retain the heat generated from your central heating much longer than single glazing would.

Noise and draft reduction

If you are constantly disturbed by external noise from traffic or neighbours, double glazing will help block out any unwanted sounds. You may also suffer from drafts within the home due to your old wooden windows providing little or no protection from cold air. uPVC Double glazing would put paid to that.

Improves the look of your home

You may have the most lovely looking house in the world, but if you have windows which are rotting, warped or lacking a coat of paint, then it can totally bring down the look of your home.  uPVC windows can help update the look of your home and are very easily maintained.  They are also very unlikely to need be replaced for years after installation.

After coming to West Yorkshire Windows last year for our windows, we decided to come back for a bigger job!

This time we came to have our bespoke conservatory fitted. It’s a big commitment for us, and obviously we wanted someone we could trust to do a good job.

The conservatory price was very reasonable, we’ve heard stories as well of people adding extras on to the price at the end. We were happy that you didn’t!

The staff were very professional as always and did a fantastic job dealing with all of our queries. We recommended you to our next door neighbours after you fitted our conservatory and they’ve just ordered one of your contemporary orangeries, so we’ll be very keen to see what that looks that looks when it’s finished.

Will you also thank Craig for helping us pick out what colour and design to go with. It was really helpful showing us what type of design would suit our needs. He also helped us pick out our uPVC windows, which we had no idea about.

Our thanks once again for our gorgeous bespoke conservatory and we wish you all the best in the future.
