Why you ask? Well, even though the recession is currently in full force, the housing market has been devalued considerably. This means that instead of looking at trying to sell, home owners are thinking of improving what they have – either for personal use, or to improve their home so they can then manage to sell.
So despite the recession, our sales are doing well. We still get a very regular string of leads and take every care to meet the wants and needs of every customer individually.
An article in the Telegraph newspaper, spoke on this subject. The article states “Homeowners are spending an average of £5,300 on improving their homes rather than risk exposing themselves to the struggling property market, according to research.”

Throughout 2008 a series of adverts on Yorkshire TV shot Andrew Glover, the face of the advertisements to fame in the Yorkshire region. With the phrase ‘You better be quick, these deals can’t last forever’. West Yorkshire WIndows, a Conservatory Outlet dealer, promoted a series of special offers on Conservatories and Energy Efficient uPVC Windows.
The emphasis was based around encouraging customers to visit the West Yorkshire showrooms in Wakefield and Leeds. Also, the adverts drove traffic to the website and telephone enquiries to the call handling centre in Leeds.
The adverts were soon rolled out to the Granada TV region with Chris Mitchell fronting the regional campaign. Format was the same, but with different offers for the conservatory showrooms in Preston, Kendal and Holmes Chapel.
