Centrica, the owners of British Gas, have warned UK homeowners that they can expect a further rise in their energy bills this coming winter. Over the past few years, energy bills price rises have become commonplace, with only the occasional price drop taking place such as those announced in January.
This has left many people desperate to find a solution to the issue of expensive energy and it would seem that renewable energy is being favoured by the large majority. Solar panels are in particularly high demand as the feed-in-tariff (the money that homeowners earn from the energy generated) is set to drop further in July from 21p to a possible 13.6p.
Director at Eco Investments, David Hunt says:
“This is the final chance for consumers to secure a fantastic return on investment if they go ahead with a solar PV installation before July 1.

Nobody likes to spend money when they do not have to and more so now than ever in the current credit crunch we are all looking to save money. One such expense which many people debate is whether to install replacement windows and doors or not. There are several considerations which you need to think about to determine if you need replacement windows.
One of the most important factors which you must consider is safety and all too often this is surprisingly overlooked. If there was a fire in your house often windows would be the only means of escape therefore particularly first floor and above windows should be easy to open. Often old wooden windows will have been painted so many times that they can no longer be opened and this is a serious safety risk.

Dear West Yorkshire Windows,
I would like to say that I was very happy with the service I received today when I had a new front door and surround fitted by your company.
The two young men who came to fit them did an excellent job and were extremely pleasant. I would be grateful if you could pass on my thanks to the fitters concerned and thank them for a good job well done.
We are having a conservatory fitted in the new year and if the service is as good as today I’m sure we’ll be very satisfied.
Yours sincerely,
Mrs Casper, Wakefield
