World Cup Fever at WYW!
The World Cup is underway, and a large proportion of the nation is glued to the screen to see who will be bringing it home. It’s one of those events that brings people together. Even if you’re not the biggest of football fans, it’s an excuse to get together with friends, shout and cheer at the screen through the highs and lows of the tournament and let the World Cup fever take its hold. While going down the local pub will always be a popular venue for doing just this, increasingly high street marketing and World Cup merchandise encourage us to have these get togethers at home. There’s World Cup bunting and crockery and even food and drink suggestions for our World Cup parties.
The open plan dream
It’s easy to get swept up by the fever when it’s so far reaching, but sometimes it’s when we have a large gathering like this, that we’re reminded just how small our homes are! With property programmes often selling the open plan dream, that continues to be one of the most popular aspirations for the UK homeowner, and when it comes to throwing a party, this desire becomes particularly prominent.
Conservatories are still one of the most cost-effective ways of adding space to your existing home. And if you still think of conservatories as freezing cold or boiling hot rooms on the back of your house, think again. With so many new and innovative solutions now available, conservatories can be used all year round and can be used to open-up existing space in the home far more successfully than they have in the past.
Which roof would you like with that conservatory?
Glass roofs have in themselves come on a long way from years gone by, but conservatories are now available with the option of a solid roof too. This keeps the room’s temperature much more consistent, more in keeping with the rest of the house and completely usable all year round as additional space in the home. It also allows you to be more creative with the positioning, size and style of conservatory you opt for. Conservatories are becoming less standard and off the shelf and more unique and tailored, because they can increasingly be used as an extension of existing space and each house and the use of space within it, is different.
