They were familiar with West Yorkshire Windows through word-of-mouth and visited our flagship Wakefield showroom in order to view our many conservatories and orangeries. It was our orangeries that made the biggest impression on them. They sat down with a design consultant in the showroom to plan a design.

The Appleyards had a series of requirements, all of which were taken on-board. The biggest was a desire to have the orangery open to the kitchen, so we omitted doors from the orangery’s interior. They also wanted to match up the art stone cills below the windows, leading to us agreeing to make the middle pillar at the front wide enough for the log burner.

Our fitting team managed to take a photograph of the rear of the property prior to the installation of the orangery. It now looks so different and Mr and Mrs Appleyard just couldn’t imagine a home life without the orangery, a space that makes for the cosiest of sitting areas and features the most magnificent roofing system.

They’re so pleased that they followed their instinct and appointed West Yorkshire Windows as they’re not the only ones to fall in love with the orangery. Compliments have flooded in from the neighbours and those who’ve been lucky enough to be invited inside it.
